While attending the open video conference I have decided to do a series of short blogs about the event. I would typically do this on my Penn State space, however, I was able to borrow an iPad for this conference and I wanted to attempt to do all of my blogging and work directly from the iPad without using a laptop. Moveable type was not working with the iPad so I am working from this space. I just sat through the opening comments which was an interesting presentation on the culture and values of the different screens we have in our life, television, web, and telephones. The speaker was talking about how these different screens were traditionally silos of themselves but that today they are invading each others space. It does make for some interesting opportunities for publishing content in the future and what it means to be a content creator. Next up, copyright!
